Inside ‘RHOC’ Star Vicki Gunvalson’s 2013 Divorce Settlement

Vicki Gunvalson, who has been in the news for slamming her former employer, is back in the headlines for her 2013 divorce settlement.

The reality star pulled the plug on her 16-year union to Donn Gunvalson in 2013 and recorded huge numbers in settlements and properties to make up for her marriage’s demise.

Vicki Gunvalson and her ex-husband, Donn Gunvalson, listed their separation date as October 18, 2010, and signed their divorce agreement on September 9, 2013.

Vicki and her ex-husband did not share any children throughout the marriage, which meant they did engage in a child custody battle.

The reality star walked away with all the furniture and artwork she owned in the marriage, including a home in Coto de Caza, California, valued at $600,000. She also got half of several bank accounts and a full balance of other accounts.

That is not all, Vicki retained all the rights to her WooHoo Productions LLC, the timeshare at Lindo Mar Puerto Vallarta, another property in Puerto Rico, and a 2009 Mercedes SL550 to cruise around.

In Touch reported that the TV personality also bagged a life insurance policy valued around $100,000, another policy worth $500,000 and a few more other policies.

The deal noted that the Bravo superstar was awarded assets of $886,000 and obligations of $117,000 for a total value of assets of $660,104 and liabilities of $27,046 for a total value of $633,058.

“As and for an equalization of the parties’ assets and obligations, [Vicki] shall pay to [Donn] the sum of $67,799.50,” the deal declared. Vicki was also able to keep all her separate earnings from “Real Housewives of Orange County” and her various businesses following the divorce.

The reality star agreed to cover her daughter Briana’s outstanding student loans and various other debts in the settlement. Although Vicki and Donn did not share any children, they have kids from previous relationships and marriages.

Donn was Vicki’s second husband right after her first marriage to Michael J. Wolfsmith. The pair tied the knot in 1994 and remained married when Vicki joined “RHOC.”

Per Bravo TV, Donn described Vicki as a “very I-am-woman-hear-me-roar, you know, get-out-of-my-way kind of gal” in the season premiere of the reality show.

Fans reportedly got a front-row seat at their personality differences and how they played out on the show, which also caused tensions in their union then.

Shortly before their separation in 2010, the estranged pair renewed their marital vows in 2009. Vicki described the divorce as amicable in another interview in 2010, stating: “Donn has been an important part of my life, and he will continue to be. Anyone who has gone through a divorce understands that this is a personal matter and a difficult time in our lives.

Years after their separation in 2010, Vicki took a complete 180 and confessed to feeling regretful for being the first to opt out of the 16-year-old union.

The 62-year-old described her former husband as an amazing man who was largely good to her despite the huge contrast in their personalities as seen on the show.

“I think that if I had to do it all over again, I would not have divorced Donn,” the reality TV star admitted in her 2015 interview with “Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen.”

She stated that the marriage broke down for multiple reasons, but things may have taken a different turn if they worked it out back then. Vicki added: “He was a great man, great husband.”

The Blast noted that the TV personality’s divorce from Donn was heavily featured on the show from the time it began to when things were finalized in 2014. About her relationship on the show, she once said:

“People ask me if I regret doing the show, and when I look at my relationships, I’d say yes.”

She declared that being in front of the camera, which follows them around 24/7, brought pressure into their lives and marriage because of the scrutiny from viewers. Vicki disclosed that she regrets how the marriage broke down 10 years after they finalized the agreement.
