DJ Envy and his wife Gia Casey are being costume castigated for sharing a video of their 8-year-old daughter, Brooklyn, scantily clad while dressed up as the iconic Lil Kim for Halloween.

On Oct. 31, The Breakfast Club host along with his wife Gia Casey, and their children, took to social media to showcase their festive Halloween costumes. This year, the famous family paid tribute to the iconic music video for Lil’ Kim and Junior Mafia member Lil’ Cease’s late ’90s hit, “Crush On You.”

Brooklyn nailed the Grammy-nominated femcee’s look, capturing every detail from the video.
At the beginning of the clip, Brooklyn could be seen rocking a red fur coat, which she opened to reveal a mature matching red bodysuit adorned with cutouts. Brooklyn completed her chic look with a vibrant red wig, oversized sunglasses, and iced-out chains, perfectly channeling Kim’s spirit from the legendary visual.
As the video progressed, the 8-year-old showcased several other colorful outfits inspired by the music video, including a playful green wig paired with a lacy long-sleeve top and a striking dark blue wig with oversized blue fur. The whole family joined in on the fun, dancing and enjoying the festive spirit. Jaxson stepped into the role of Lil’ Cease, while big sister London portrayed Aaliyah. With siblings Madison (23), Logan (21), London (11), Jaxson (10), and almost three-year-old Peyton all taking part.
Social Media Users Called Brooklyn’s Costume “Inappropriate”

The video was supposed to be an innocent celebration of creativity and family fun, but social media users raised an eyebrow at the post as they thought Brooklyn’s costume was “inappropriate” and “shocking.”
One user wrote;
“There’s no way y’all thought this was appropriate.”
Another naysayer commented that they were uncomfortable seeing the adorable 8-year-old recite Kim’s raunchy lyrics from the hit song. Some pondered why Gia didn’t step in to portray the famous rap star.
“This is highly inappropriate for a child to wear as a costume and to have her singing those suggestive lyrics.”
The video received some praise however, Cardi B, commented on the parents’ unique Halloween costume idea and Brooklyn’s performance.
“She took the assignment very serious SHE ATE THAT !!!” the rapper commented.
Envy replied back;
“@iamcardib Man…. She was practicing… Now she wants to rap!!!”
Another supporter wrote;
“I love it idc. Taught my babies all there is to know about hip hop culture. Kim is an icon and an entertainer. Ppl take themselves way too serious.”
DJ Envy Ignored Naysayers & Posted More Halloween Content
It seems Envy and Gia aren’t fazed by the criticism. In fact, the radio host and his wife doubled down by sharing two more videos from their Halloween celebration.
One clip featured their daughter, London, delivering a stunning imitation of Aaliyah’s “One In A Million” music video. Another clip captured Envy playfully scaring his family while dressed in a Black Panther costume.
