Jill Zarin confirmed that her daughter Ally Shapiro and her fiancé Jordan Bilfeld called off their wedding. Earlier this week, split rumors surfaced after fans noticed that Ally removed all traces of the engagement from her Instagram.
She also posted TikToks of herself moving into a studio apartment with the help of her mom Jill, who once starred on Real Housewives of New York. Ally and Jordan got engaged two months ago, and recent posts (before this week) suggested all was well.
“After much reflection, [Ally and Jordan have] made the difficult decision to end their engagement,” said Jill in a statement to Page Six. “And as a family, we are focused on supporting [Ally] through this time. We appreciate your understanding and request privacy on this personal matter.”
On Thursday, an insider told the outlet that the couple was already having “issues” when they celebrated their Hamptons engagement party in September.
According to the source, Ally and Jordan hoped things would “settle down,” so they went through with the party. Last week, however, a “decision was made” to end the engagement, which shocked their friends.
Recently, Ally posted a TikTok of her moving into a studio apartment. She wasn’t wearing a ring, and she mouthed the words of Gracie Abrams’ song, “That’s So True.”
“Made it out alive, but I think I lost it / Said that I was fine, said it from the coffin / Remember how I died when you started walking? That’s my life, that’s my life,” said part of the lyrics. “I’ll put up a fight, taking out my earrings / Don’t you know the vibe? Don’t you know the feeling? You should spend the night, catch me on your ceiling / That’s your prize, that’s your prize, Well?”
In another TikTok, Jill and her boyfriend Gary helped Ally with the move. The 31-year-old wrote in a caption: “When you don’t realize how much you needed your parents until they drop everything for you.”
The Real Housewives of New Jersey is currently on hiatus. Some reports claim filming may begin early next year while others suggest that it may not return.
