Miley Cyrus Stuns Wet-Haired In Swimsuit Instagram Calls ‘Ugly’

Miley Cyrus dropped jaws in February 2023, posting her smoking swimsuit body to Instagram as she promoted her “Flowers” track. Marking her chart-topping single continuing to rule the music space, the 31-year-old flaunted her toned figure in a red Gucci bikini, choosing a two-piece from the brand she fronts but seemingly not pleasing everyone with her choice. All oiled up as she rocked wet hair, Miley turned up the heat in her bandeau bathing suit, but for one fan, her look was straight-up “ugly.”

Showing the strapless trend some love, the Grammy winner posed by a wooden wall, lifting her hands to her head while impressing her followers with her muscle machine of a body.

Rocking v-shaped briefs with an asymmetric hoop cut-out at the waist, Miley kept stylish in her high-end look, one likely sent to her for free as part of her Gucci ambassador status.

Opting out of a blow-out, Miley sported her blonde locks down and a little slicked back, nailing the wet-haired look as she wore black eyeliner that highlighted her blue eyes. Showing some of her many tattoos, the ex to Liam Hemsworth looked right at the camera as she told fans: “Flowers is #1 @ Pop Radio for the first time & on the Billboard Hot 100 again for the 5th Week in a row! THANK YOU & I LOVE YOU!”

The photo was reposted to an Instagram fan feed later that year, and it was here that not everyone was a fan of the look. “Beautiful Miley but that ugly swimsuit doesn’t value you,” one user replied.

“Flowers” went on to dominate the 2023 and 2024 charts, also earning Miley Cyrus her very first Grammy this year. The singledom anthem, largely assumed to be about the singer’s ex-husband Liam, also became iconic for its music video, where Miley shimmies around in a metallic gold dress from YSL before stripping to sexy black undies and swimming laps in her pool.

“I wrote it in a really different way,” Miley told Vogue. “The chorus was originally: ‘I can buy myself flowers, write my name in the sand, but I can’t love me better than you can.’ It used to be more, like, 1950s. The saddest song, like, ‘Sure, I can be my own lover, but you’re so much better.’”

Miley continues her ambassador role with Gucci, one that began in 2021 when she was signed to the brand’s fragrances. Earlier this year, she sizzled in a teeny sheer bra and cheeky briefs for late-night shots, plugging Gucci’s scents while flaunting her incredible body. Fans left the post over 700,000 likes.
