Hypnotic bass is how Phrva communicates that his reign is just beginning—and while listening to his debut EP Crave, we are all subjects.

Crave begins with “Is It All,” a mesmerizing track in which gentle vocals float amongst a sea of dark bass. The track’s refrain, continuously repeated, conjures a somber introspection. “Mind” comes to bat next, uplifting listeners with a lively trap beat that pinballs a trilling melody.

Finally, the EP’s last track reminds us what Phrva always wants: “More.” That sentiment is stated throughout the track as a cliffhanger of sorts, leaving us wanting the same.

“Crave is my first original project, and I hope that it shows the scope of what I’m aiming to achieve with my music,” said Phrva, who is set to join Tape B on tour as support for the producer’s upcoming Reno and Denver shows. “At the core, Phrva is all about following a feeling and groove and not overthinking it, and the tracks on this project were all created with that mentality.”
