Bethenny Frankel addressed the claim that the Real Housewives of New York reboot should be “take[n] away” as it’s “unwatchable,” and she suggested that the Bravo “powers that be” are “writhing in pain” for cutting the show’s “golden era.” Meanwhile, Bethenny shared a post leading some to believe she’s soft-launching a new relationship.
In 2022, the network axed the entire cast of RHONY and replaced it with a younger group. Some fans believe the reboot, which is the first of its kind in the franchise’s history, was not a success. And the ratings reflect that.
“Two different gay men have called me today to say Real Housewives of New York is unwatchable,” said Bethenny on her TikTok. “Take it away at once, they say.”
Bethenny admitted that she doesn’t watch it and she doesn’t know the women, but they “seem lovely.”
“I’m not blaming them at all, but there must be an art to the disaster,” she went on. “Because [my cast was] a hot-a** mess. I mean, I’ve seen Ramona s**t on the floor, Sonja s**t the bed and wear a diaper, Luann fall into the bushes … [and] my body 50 percent alcohol content.”
“The powers that be [at Bravo] must be writhing in pain that we really were the golden era of the Housewives,” Bethenny continued. “Trees grow high. They don’t grow to the sky, though. You’re welcome.”
She then praised certain co-stars for making the show so good.
“Shout out to Ramona, to Sonja, to Luann, to Dorinda, to Jill Zarin, and you know what, I’m giving a shout out to Alex and Simon. They brought something to the table,” she said. “The rest is all a blur.”

Around the same time, Bethenny wrote a post leading some to believe she’s soft-launching a new relationship. She claimed she’s feeling “free, lighter [and] happier” this year on her birthday, and she shared a photo where she’s holding hands with a mystery man.
“This year, I feel free, lighter, happier as if something has been lifted. It has been profoundly transformative. I am proud of my age and of the mother, friend, partner and person I am and I am truly happy,” she wrote in the Instagram caption. “I have everything I want and need.”
“Thank you for giving me the greatest gift I could ever ask for which is your love, understanding and support. I learn from you every day … Happy Birthday to myself.”
