Carlton Gebbia, who was the first practicing Wiccan on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, called Kyle Richards a “different breed of vile,” and she claimed she’s “trapped” by her own “fictitious persona.” The star also addressed her Wiccan faith.
Back in 2013, Carlton was introduced to the cast. She stayed on for all of season four, but she didn’t return the next season. She feuded particularly with Kyle, who accused her of “act[ing] like a witch.” Some say Carlton’s season of RHOBH was one of the most interesting in its history.
“I don’t think [Kyle] knows who she is,” said Carlton on the Miss Understood with Rachel Uchitel podcast, via @therealhousewiveszone on Instagram. “I think she has created such a fictitious persona for herself that there’s no one home. She’s so trapped by this, whatever she’s created for herself. And that’s what I witnessed.”
“She’s a different breed of vile,” Carlton went on. “I don’t say this lightly, but she is one of the most narcissistic, toxic energies that I literally have had the misfortune to [meet].”
Carlton shared that she “felt it immediately” when she met her.
“And I really did try to push through it … because obviously we’re filming a bloody show,” she recalled. “I’d never watched Housewives before. You know, when I started to sort of take her on, she said that I had preconceived notions because I’d watched the show.”
“Honestly, if I had watched the show and witnessed some of the heinous s**t she had done, there’s no way I would have given her the time of day,” she said.
Later on, Carlton was asked about the speculation that Kyle is gay.
“Was that for her storyline?” asked Carlton. “Because god knows she was always desperately in need of one.”
She then mentioned her Wiccan faith, which was discussed often on the show.
“I knew that my religion was definitely going to be a topic,” she explained. She then added, “I love being scared. I love scaring people.”
Season 14 of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills premieres on November 19 on Bravo.
