Are you curious if there is a Smile 3 release date? With the recent arrival of Smile 2, there’s been much speculation about a third entry in the film series. Smile is a psychological horror movie about a patient haunted by a mysterious entity, while Smile 2 follows a pop star as she faces terrifying events tied to her past. Now, fans are wondering if there will be a Smile 3 and if it’s coming out anytime soon.

So let’s begin to explore everything related to the Smile 3 release date and the future of the film franchise.

Is there a Smile 3 release date?

There has been no formal declaration concerning Smile 3. Nevertheless, it could be announced in the future.

Smile 2 premiered in theaters on October 18, 2024, and has performed tremendously well at the box office, having outdone its predecessor in terms of numbers. This tremendous success can possibly lead the Smile franchise into a third outing.

Additionally, Parker Finn, the director of the first 2 films, remains highly optimistic about the prospect of releasing a threequel soon. In an interview with GamesRadar+, he expressed his excitement about how viewers will react to Smile 2. Finn mentioned that if they’re fortunate enough to see audiences connect with the film, the possibilities could be endless.

In another interview that took place with The Hollywood Reporter, at the time of the Los Angeles premiere of Smile 2 held on October 14, Finn clearly said, “There’s so many exciting roads that Smile could go down.”

Right now, there’s no official word on when Smile 3 will drop. However, Finn’s updates have definitely got fans buzzing about this possible threequel. So, it’s a good idea for everyone to be patient since the next movie might take a while to hit theaters.

Where is Smile 3 coming out?

Smile 3 could hit theaters first, just like the other films in the franchise.

Although there is no official release date yet for a third Smile film, you can catch the first part by streaming it online on Hulu, Netflix, and Amazon Prime Video. Meanwhile, if you’re looking to rent Smile 2, it is now available on Apple TV Plus and Prime Video.
