Jackie Earle Haley is set to star in an upcoming game show-themed slasher horror film titled I’m Your Host.

The movie follows “a group of friends trapped in a deadly game show, where they must outwit a sadistic serial killer in a terrifying race for survival.”

The producers of the film said in a statement: “Jackie’s ability to convey complex emotions and his remarkable screen presence make him the perfect choice to lead this film.

“His portrayal will elevate the tension and horror to a whole new level, and we can’t wait for audiences to experience his incredible performance in I Am Your Host.”

Haley is a hell of a talented act who isn’t working enough these days. Haley was nominated for a Best Supporting Actor in the 2006 Academy Awards for his performance in Todd Fields’ 2006 satirical melodrama Little Children.

After that he went on to play Rorschach in Zach Snyder’s 2009 DC Comics superhero film Watchmen, which led to a bunch of different roles for him to take on. But then it died down. So, it’s good to see him land another big movie role.

The film will be directed by DW Medoff (Pollen, I Will Never Leave You Alone) from a script written by Joey Miller. Seth Michaels, Sara Sometti, Michaels and Reece Foster are producing.

‘Bring Them Down’ is probably one of the best films I’ve ever seen. A brutal and believable examination of old family grudges in rural communities. Superbly shot. Sharp and to the point. As beautiful a piece of art as it is a moral reminder of how anger can lose everyone the battle.
