Jessel Taank offered an update on her marriage to her husband, Pavit Randhawa, on Tuesday night’s episode of Watch What Happens Live.
After enlisting the help of a therapist amid a dispute about their potential third baby, the 45-year-old Real Housewives of New York City star spoke about where she and Pavit stand today as she reacted to his many deflections, her Clueless-themed birthday party, Sai De Silva‘s shady comment about Brynn Whitfield, 38, and more.
“We’re slowly getting there with this third baby. But also self-awareness. He’s in his own world, and I think he needs to see that there’s a world outside of his head that he needs to address sometimes,” Jessel said of what she’s working on with Pavit on the November 5 episode of WWHL.
Although host Andy Cohen, 56, suspected Pavit may have learned from his past behavior after watching the show and seeing how he often deflected with humor when his wife was trying to have a serious conversation, Jessel denied any such thing.
“He thinks he’s brilliant,” she admitted.
After celebrating her birthday with a Clueless-themed party on last week’s episode, Jessel admitted that Pavit got her “nothing” for her special day.
“I didn’t get anything. And he got me deli flowers for Mother’s Day,” she revealed.
Also speaking of the party, Jessel responded to a fan who wanted to know why she was not in Clueless attire.
“It was a theme, you guys. I did [dress on theme]. I think I looked very Clueless. It was like pinks and blues and pastels. It was a state of mind,” she explained, adding that Brynn had the best look and “killed it” at the event.
When Jessel was then asked about what she thought of Sai, 43, alluding to Brynn having a sugar daddy in her confessional after Erin Lichy‘s controversial interview with Jeff Lewis, 54, Jessel defended Sai’s shade.
“I think that was a direct response to Brynn literally slathering herself all over Erin’s dad that night. So, she said it. If you walk like a duck,” she reasoned.
As for Brynn’s mentioning of Erin’s past relationship with her business partner at Erin’s mezcal party, Jessel suggested her co-star is never “[politically correct].”
During a game in which she was asked to name the most basic thing about her co-stars, Jessel signaled Erin’s “love of cardigans,” Brynn’s appreciation for “bottomless brunch,” Sai’s admiration of a “homemade veggie burger,” and Rebecca Minkoff‘s affinity for a “basic black dress.”
She then said that there’s “nothing basic” about Ubah Hassan, 41, or Racquel Chevremont, 53.
As for Jenna Lyons, 56, Jessel said she’s a “denim-wearing cat lady.”
Also on the live broadcast, Andy mentioned Jessel’s claim of Erin smelling bad at her mezcal party as he asked her to share how each of her castmates smelled.
“[Jenna] smells bad, too … She wears natural deodorant,” Jessel alleged.
Continuing on, Jessel said Sai wears a fragrance, possibly Dior, that “smells good,” and she noted that Brynn “smells fresh, like lotion.” Jessel also said that Ubah wears an Arabic oil, and she admitted that Erin usually smells good and blamed the “guacamole with the onion” for her party odor.
After then noting that she doesn’t really know how Rebecca smells, Jessel said she suspected Racquel “would smell musty.”
Later, on the WWHL: After Show, Jessel was asked if she agreed with Jenna that she was simply a bad communicator, or if she believed she had malice when she failed to reach out to Erin amid her season’s hardships, including her marital strain and mother’s cancer diagnosis.
“Absolutely no malice there. I think Jenna’s booked and busy, and you know, I think that she genuinely cares about her friendships, and I don’t believe she was doing it, like, knowingly,” she shared.
