Lisa Barlow reacted to Todd Bradley threatening to kick her and her husband, John Barlow, out of his and Bronwyn Newport‘s house in Palm Springs following the latest episode of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City on Wednesday.
After Todd, 65, told John and Lisa, 49, they had to go if Lisa wouldn’t “stop” arguing with Bronwyn, 39, Lisa suggested she could do no right on the trip as Bronwyn insisted Todd didn’t want the Barlows to leave and shaded John for failing to stand up to his wife.
“Going on the trip, I was like, trepidatious because of the mafia party … but as soon as we got there and I got into a bathing suit, I just feel like it was, like, problem after problem after problem. I felt like nothing I did was right, and then Todd had a conversation with John. I’m like, ‘Oh my God, why the f*ck did I come?’” Lisa recalled on the November 6 episode of the RHOSLC: After Show. “I mean, was Todd not prepped about this trip? I’m like, ‘No fighting on this trip?’ That’s like asking for Jesus to come down right now and take me home. That’d be like saying, ‘Don’t ever have a Diet Coke again, Lisa.’”
“If you didn’t want any fighting, just go on your trip with Bronwyn,” she added as Britani Bateman took aim at the couple’s marriage.
“I think they fight quite a bit,” Britani alleged.
In her own After Show segment, Bronwyn said that while there were different accounts of what Todd had told John about him and Lisa potentially leaving their anniversary trip, she knows who she can trust.
“I’m sorry, everybody else, I only believe Todd in this scenario. Todd told me he went to John and said, ‘This has to stop.’ And John said, ‘So are you telling me we have to leave?’ And I heard from Todd that he said, ‘I’m not saying you have to leave, but it has to stop, and if it can’t stop, then maybe you should choose to leave,’” she shared. “There was no Todd wanting them to leave, but he wanted the bullsh*t to stop, for sure.”
While Bronwyn suspected that John may have relayed Todd’s statements to Lisa in an incorrect manner, or that Lisa simply made up a false scenario in her mind, she also said that she wouldn’t have had a problem if Todd had booted them from the trip.
“Todd probably should’ve kicked them out, honestly,” she suggested.
Bronwyn then stated that John should’ve done more to get Lisa under control.
“At the time I wanted to fix it. Now, I would tell you this: If somebody told Todd that I needed to shape up or leave, Todd would’ve packed my bags for me. He would not have told me I needed to shape up, even if he believed I needed to, and so I kind of feel like if John didn’t have the guts to tell Lisa, ‘Shape up or pack,’ [and] just told her to calm down, then that’s between the two of them, not Lisa and Todd,” she explained. “[But] Lisa knew she wanted a free trip, so she had to get her sh*t together to stay, and that’s not on me or Todd.”
Elsewhere, Angie Katsanevas, 50, and Mary Cosby, 52, reflected on the situation, with Angie noting that it was a “big” deal that Todd felt the need to intervene and Mary stating that men “don’t want to be around” too much drama.
“I think it’s pretty big of Todd to tell them, ‘Tone it down or leave,’ because Bronwyn and Lisa and John and Todd were friends, and now you’ve got Todd saying, ‘You better shape up or we’re gonna ship you out,’” Angie stated.
Mary then noted that Todd’s outburst was the “first time” she saw that he “really loves” Bronwyn.
“They [usually] just throw jabs at each other. [But] I love Todd now,” she declared.
The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City season five airs Wednesdays at 9/8c on Bravo.
