German-born DJ and producer Lilly Palmer is a techno trailblazer, and has been bringing impassioned sets to the global stage for almost a decade. Starting with deep house in 2015, she’s evolved her sound into high-energy peak-time techno, pinning her BPM into the 145 range. She draws inspiration from fashion, AI tech, Lady Gaga, and even horseback rides.

I am a life-loving, very positive, and energetic person, and I stand for freedom and expressing and fulfilling yourself through music.
Where does your style originate from?
My early influences were my friends at school and my father — actually back then I loved listening to death- and viking metal! Later on, my first steps in the music industry started in Zurich, where I was heavily influenced by deeper and melodic sounds. Now I am back to hard and fast [laughs]!
I always loved Lady Gaga. I was mesmerized by every music video she released, and I love surprising my fans as well with creative and sometimes a bit crazy content…
How did growing up in Germany influence you?
Going out in Germany definitely implemented the minimal, driving, and hard techno sound into my genes. Also the club and festival culture in my home country is simply amazing. My favorite nights out were most of the time when I went dancing all by myself — until I could take the next train in the morning back home.
How do your hobbies horse riding and kitesurfing take away your stress?
It’s very simple: With both hobbies you cannot use your mobile phone. And that’s exactly what I need to empty my head from constantly being online and reachable. Three hours in nature with my horse and I feel like a new person and much more happy than before!
