This week’s retro trailer is for the 1985 sci-fi horror thriller Deathbed (also known as Terminal Choice). The story is set in a high-tech hospital where a new, experimental computer system controls patient care.
The film follows Dr. Frank Holt, a physician who grows increasingly suspicious of the hospital’s new automated system after a series of unexpected patient deaths.
As Holt investigates, he discovers that the computer not only monitors patients but also decides their fates, with the ability to kill at will. Holt realizes that the system, originally intended to improve medical care, is now a deadly force, controlled by unknown figures with sinister motives.
Holt has to race against time to stop the system before more patients fall victim, facing resistance from his colleagues who are skeptical of his claims.
