Will Trent Season 4 Episode 15 Release Date, Time, Where to Watch

Say what you will about director David Fincher’s Alien 3, but the VFX work in the film to bring the story to life were awesome. It featured a mix of animatronics and pioneering CGI.

One of the unique VFX elements involves the use of a rod puppet to bring the alien to life in several scenes. This puppet allowed for intricate, realistic movements, blending the alien’s unsettling, agile behavior with the dark, claustrophobic setting of the prison.

In the brief behind-the-scenes video below, you can see the meticulous work that went into puppeteering the creature, with technicians skillfully maneuvering it to capture the alien’s terrifying movements on camera.

Alien 3 follows Ellen Ripley (Sigourney Weaver) after her escape from LV-426, only to crash-land on a desolate prison planet inhabited by former convicts and religious zealots.

As Ripley comes to terms with the harsh reality of the prison, she discovers that an alien creature has also survived the crash. Isolated from outside help, the prisoners and Ripley face off against the alien in a grim, industrial setting that offers little chance for escape.

As Ripley uncovers the horrifying truth about her own connection to the creature, the group’s struggle to survive takes on an even more desperate tone, leading to an intense confrontation that pushes her to make the ultimate sacrifice.
