Britney Spears switched to her “River Rose” alter ego last weekend. Sharing a sultry Instagram video for her army of fans, the 42-year-old danced around in a skimpy bustier and briefs undies look, flaunting her bombshell figure and giving a nod to her “Maria River Red” Instagram name. Britney, who made summer 2023 headlines for the name switch largely believed to be inspired by a 1999 Santana song, told fans: “Nice to meet you” in her caption, although with comments on the post disabled, fans weren’t able to leave their reactions.

Scroll for the video. Writhing around as she let loose, Britney sizzled in a white cropped bustier, rocking negligee accents from sheer lace and opaque panels while going form-fitting. The Grammy-winning singer, who has since made headlines for saying that she “married” herself, showed off her toned legs and curvy backside, adding cheeky matching briefs to her top while going low-cut.

Flaunting her curves via structured underwiring that added some definition to her tight top, Britney also highlighted her toned abs, completing her look with a brown pair of heeled sandals with a T-bar strap.

Wearing her beloved black choker necklace as she showed off her blonde locks, Britney immersed herself in the music as she danced to singer Rihanna’s “Love on the Brain” track. In a caption, she wrote: “My name is River Rose. Nice to meet you.”

Britney’s “River Rose” moniker may be tied to Project Rose, a photography project she began in 2020 on Instagram. Fans received repeated, somewhat repetitive photos of Britney posing with gorgeous fresh roses from her backyard, with an announcement made that she’d entered her Project Rose era. This period was followed by a “Red” phase, when Spears upped the ante in sizzling lingerie looks, often posing by a red backdrop and sometimes including now ex-husband Sam Asghari.

Earlier this month, Britney made headlines for teasing her upcoming brand. In a highly publicized Instagram share, the “Toxic” singer announced that she’ll be jumping into the jewelry space, sharing photos of her intricate hand and finger pieces complete with their blue gemstones.

Not long before her brand reveal, Britney shared another dance video, this time rocking a pink string bikini. Speaking about her Hebrew tattoo, she disclosed having studied with rabbis, also revealing that she “studied” Hebrew and was, at one point, “too religious.”
