Kelly Dodd took to the comments section of an Instagram post yesterday to accuse Teddi Mellencamp of cheating on her now-estranged husband, Edwin Arroyave.
Just over a week after the 43-year-old Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum confirmed plans for divorce, and with rumors swirling regarding potential infidelity in the marriage, the 49-year-old former Real Housewives of Orange County cast member suggested that she “[knows] everything” and hopes Edwin, 47, is awarded custody of their three kids, daughter Slate, 12, son Cruz, 10, and daughter Dove, 4.
“She cheated she’s a douche bag! I know for a fact because Robyn told me everything,” Kelly wrote in a comment shared to Bravo Housewives on Instagram, not sharing who Robyn was. “[Teddi Mellencamp] you know that I know everything! I hope Edwin gets custody!”
Kelly’s comment came in reaction to the mentioning of an article regarding Edwin’s response to Teddi’s divorce filing, in which she requested full physical and legal custody of their children as well as spousal support.
Last week, after Edwin spoke of “dark days” in a cryptic Instagram Story, a source spoke to Us Weekly, stating that their split was “a long time coming.”
“They have been up and down for the last seven-plus years,” the insider shared. “This isn’t the first time Teddi has wanted a divorce, and it has been an ongoing conversation between them for years.”
“[They have] been in therapy over the years and make it work … They have had some really high highs and low lows over the course of their marriage … They have agreed they are better as co-parents and can be amicable moving forward,” the source added.
As for the cheating claims, the host of the Deux U podcast, via Breaking the Rules Podclips on Instagram, suggested that it was an “open secret” about Teddi and Edwin’s marriage.
“Allegedly Teddi cheated on her husband with her horse trainer who is also married,” they alleged. “People are telling me this is a well-known fact in the horse show community. And that when the wife found out — this is this person’s words — an all-out brawl between them happened at a horse show in mid-September when everything came to light. So I would gather that’s why so many people know about it.”
“Somebody else messaged me and said, ‘Allegedly Teddi cheated with someone who rides horses where she does. Everyone knew there for months,’ according to the gossip,” the host added. “It seems that Edwin found out the day before the announcement.”
Still, someone else told the host it was Edwin who had been unfaithful.
“From the sound of it, Teddi knew to some extent and they were working through it,” they shared. “So to see this [divorce] definitely is not shocking and sounds like Teddi just had enough of his sh*t.”
