Teddi Mellencamp’s Divorce Drama Takes An Adultery Turn

The plot thickens in Teddi Mellencamp’s ongoing divorce as allegations of infidelity enter into the mix!

Teddi Mellencamp filed for divorce from her husband of nine years, Edwin Arroyave, on November 1 and cited October 20 as their date of separation. However, her husband corrected it as November 1 in his filing.

Sources close to the ongoing divorce disclosed that the horse trainer Simon Schröeder’s wife discovered her husband and Mellencamp’s romantic relationship after going through her husband’s phone.

The pair were reportedly together in Florida while her trainer’s pregnant wife Karli Postel delivered their third child in California. Postel’s suspicions grew as she wondered what could have held her husband in Florida while she welcomed their baby.

Upon her discovery, she confronted the lovers, and Mellencamp reportedly felt remorseful while promising never to do it again as long Postel stayed quiet.

“‘Karli didn’t tell Edwin when she found out. She was willing to give Simon another chance and stayed with him. But last month, Karli found proof that the affair was ongoing and that it had become emotional,” the source noted.

Per Daily Mail, the trainer reportedly had a history of cheating, and Postel was tired of being connected to him. Arroyave also only learned of the affair late last month when she told him.

Wondering why the star was so hasty about the divorce filing. Sources noted that Mellencamp pulled the plug on the union to ensure Arroyave did not have the chance to file and get her for adultery.

Meanwhile, rumors were spreading that the marriage ended because Arroyave stepped out on the television personality. Schröeder, who specializes in horse jumping, had been training Mellencamp’s horse Totally, nicknamed ‘Toad.’

The horse trainer was heartily congratulated by his wife back in May for a successful outing with Toad at a horse show. “So beyond proud of Simon’s hard work with Teddi Mellencamp’s Totally!” Postel began in the Instagram caption.

She acknowledged Toad’s “beautiful, consistent rounds at the Devon Horseshow in the high performance” and described it as a huge feat from where Simon & Toad’s journey began.

Postel concluded the post by declaring that she was looking forward to “watching Teddi take on the weekend” on the horse’s back, earning a like from the reality star.

Like his wife, Mellencamp also curated an appreciative message to her horse and, by extension, Schröeder on May 31, which was around the time Postel welcomed their baby.

“I am Totally obsessed with you, Toady baby boy,’ the TV star wrote alongside a video of her horse slugging it out at the Devon Horse Show.

She noted, “Everything I have asked of you, you have done. Thank you for making my first time in the @devon1896 ring in 25 years a dream. I feel so blessed you are mine.”

The reality star then praised her horse trainer for all his wonderful work with the horse in prepping it for the show. Mellencamp added another bout of praises for Schröeder, who sold her the most fun horse she had ever ridden.

Mellencamp has not chosen silence in the face of these scathing allegations and a seemingly solid storyline to back up the cheating claims. The entertainer uploaded two contents on her Instagram story indirectly referring to the current chaotic state of her life.

The first slide featured a short video with the in-text captions: “Random: how’s life going? My life:” followed by a series of the worst uncomfortable scenarios that can happen to anyone on a good day.

The video ended with the character getting upset upon realizing the milk carton was empty as she got ready to dig into a big bowl of cereal before her.

Mellencamp uploaded a quote from actor Bruce Lee in the next slide, seemingly encouraging herself as she navigates the rocky phase of her life. “DO NOT PRAY FOR AN EASY LIFE, PRAY FOR THE STRENGTH TO ENDURE A DIFFICULT ONE,” the quote read.

Despite the chaos and allegations flying around in the case, The Blast gathered from the Bravo star that her primary priority is keeping her three kids safe.

She explained this to her podcast co-host Tamra Judge when she asked about how she was faring through life as a newly single woman after a marriage of 10 years.

Mellencamp replied that she has everything on lockdown and onlywants to preserve her children’s privacy and set the narrative straight.

“Yeah, and I know I am gonna keep working on feeling my best to show up for the best of my kids, my life, and my work. I mean, I think that’s the biggest thing for me right now, the reality star noted.
