How ‘One Battle After Another’ Brought Leonardo DiCaprio to TikTok

There’s an intense new thriller on Netflix worth checking out titled Don’t Move, which was directed by Adam Schindler and Brian Netto, and produced by Sam Raimi. It’s a seriously great movie!

During a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the directing duo was asked if they have any dream projects they’d like to work on and they mentioned two films, Darkman and a live-action Miles Morales movie, which they talked with Raimi about.

Schindler said: “If we’re talking Sam-related, it’s Darkman. We talked about Darkman [with him]. We’ve got a love and an affinity for Darkman.”

Netto added: “Darkman was my favorite film for a good portion of my life. It was the movie, so Darkman would be really interesting. At some point, they’re going to take a crack at Miles Morales in live-action.”

Schindler then said: “We talked about that [with Sam] too.”

While they talked to Raimi about these things it doesn’t mean they will get the chance to direct them. When it comes to Miles Morales that’s a Sony Pictures decision, but I do think that the two filmmakers should at least be given the opportunity to make their pitch to the studio.

After watching Don’t Move, I think they’ve got a strong filmmaking and storytelling talent.

Marvel boss Kevin Feige recently talked about the future of Miles Morales and said: “Miles will appear in the third Spider-Verse, which is in production. I hope that, shortly after that, he can enter the MCU in live-action.”

Raimi will be returning to the MCU to helm Doctor Strange 3 for Marvel Studios, but I would certainly love to see him get the opportunity to get another shot playing with Spider-Man again.
