Both Chrishell Stause and Nicole Young are filming for the latest season of Selling Sunset – despite Chrishell’s past ultimatum to leave the show if Nicole returned.
Chrishell’s drama with Nicole began during Nicole’s first season on the show when the co-stars argued about a past listing. Chrishell eventually accused the newbie of using drugs. Before the premiere of season eight, Chrishell accused her of being a “snake” who told a “disgusting lie” about Emma Hernan.
Back in September, Chrishell publicly stated that she wouldn’t return if Nicole came back. She later changed her statement, indicating that she’d return if a zero was added to her paycheck.
According to sources speaking to TMZ, Nicole and Chrishell are now filming for the ninth season. However, as of now, they’ve only filmed separately.
Per insiders, Nicole had already signed the season nine contract before Chrishell declared the “her or me” ultimatum, but Chrishell soon realized that Nicole wasn’t getting fired.
Some people think this is why she changed her tune — because she wasn’t really willing to leave the show.
Earlier this year, Chrishell told Extra TV, “I will never work on a show with [Nicole] again.”
“After eight seasons and seeing someone systematically try to plot against several people… Why are we giving her more airtime?” said Chrishell at the time. “The audience doesn’t want to see this or hear this. When somebody’s just hungry for camera time and lies, the audience is over it.”
“We’re big personalities, we’re dealing in high luxury real estate stakes. There is drama that doesn’t need to be blatant lies and just trying to, like, fight for camera time. I think that’s way more interesting,” continued Chrishell, who wants to have more women in the cast who are “lifting each other up” rather than taking each other down.
“I really have a moral code that just doesn’t want to be involved with something that would give her more air time,” she said.
She also shared an update on her marriage to Australian musician G Flip.
“We’re working on [having a family],” the star stated. “We will have a family.”
Chrishell went on, “We’re a same-sex couple and so there’s a lot of, you know, just obstacles that we face and it’s been a journey… We’re still working on it and I’m hopeful that yes, we will be entering a new chapter at some point soon.”
