On the season 14 premiere, we saw the demise of Kyle Richards and Dorit Kemsley’s friendship. Kyle had opened up about how she was upset with Dorit Kemsley reading out a text message from her on the season 13 reunion. Kyle was also upset that at Bravocon Dorit Kemsley wouldn’t rank who her favorite Richards sister was with Kyle saying, “The logical answer would be, obviously Kyle. I was hurt, I was embarrassed. That’s really a s*itty friend.”
And Dorit is over it. The newly single housewife felt like Kyle has been trying to silence her.
Kyle, on the other hand, sees it completely different. Kyle believes anything she has ever done to Doit Kemsley comes in response to the way she was treated. But Dorit vented to Erika Jayne that the relationship between the two of them was “unbalanced.” Dorit explains, “If I put one foot wrong, she won’t speak to me for months. But she can say and do whatever she wants and I have to be okay with it.”
Dorit was also hurt that Kyle went on an Amazon Live where she claimed Dorit “exaggerated” their friendship. Dorit explained, “I think there’s a lot more manipulation than there is miscommunication. think she’s more of a master manipulator than I ever realized.”
At the end of the episode, we see Kyle grab Dorit after an awkward exchange at Sutton Stracke’s party, to have a talk. Kyle begins by apologizing for what Dorit is going through with PK and acknowledges that she hurt Dorit with what she said on the Amazon Live.
Without letting Kyle finish, Dorit responded that she had enough explaining, “I had enough of feeling like I am tossed around, used whenever you want, thrown away, made to feel like I have to reevaluate whether we were even friends. And we’re gonna have to get honest. I’m fed up, Kyle.”
Kyle described Dorit’s behavior as aggressive and didn’t seem like she wanted to continue if that’s how Dorit was going to approach the conversation.
In conclusion, Dorit told Kyle she is not going to put up with this sh*t anymore. Bravo then cut the conversation and ended it with a ‘to be continued.’
