1883 actress Isabel May has joined the cast of Scream 7 and she will play the daughter of Neve Campbell’s Sidney Prescott.
May has been cast to star in several projects over the past month, but Scream 7 is definitely the biggest film that she’s signed on to. She joins Campbell, Courteney Cox as Gale Weathers, and Patrick Dempsey as Detective Mark Kincaid.
The movie will involve a “big time jump” following the events of the last movie. This is so that Sidney’s children have grown to an appropriate slasher movie age.
It was also previously reported that Scream 7 “will have two main storylines, one about Sid and her friends from the neighborhood, and the second one about Sid’s teen daughter Taylor (could be a codename) and her friends. Each of them will have to deal with Ghostface.”
Sid and Gale will reportedly find themselves facing off with some kind of Ghostface cult.
Scream creator and writer Kevin Williamson is set to direct Scream VII and Guy Busick, writer of 2022’s Scream and Scream VI, is penning the screenplay.
May is also set to star in Karoshi, a mysterious action thriller from filmmaker Takashi Doscher. Other upcoming projects include the horror film Menace; Gulfstream Pictures’ romantic dramedy Falling; the romantic comedy Love Language, opposite Chloë Grace Moretz, Anthony Ramos, Manny Jacinto, Lukas Gage and Billie Lourd; and the recently announced revenge thriller Wild World.
