Shannon Beador took to her Instagram account on Thursday night to confirm she’d settled her lawsuit with her ex-boyfriend, John Janssen, with a $60,000 wire transfer to his account.
After months of back and forth, and following the filing of a “Notice of Settlement of Entire Case,” the 60-year-old Real Housewives of Orange County cast member posted a receipt of her payment, encouraging her former partner and his new fiancée, Alexis Bellino, 47, to “enjoy” the money she sent.
“Enjoy…” Shannon wrote in the caption of a November 21 post on her Instagram Story.
Along with a circle around a portion of her receipt that read, “John Janssen settlement in full,” Shannon tagged both John and Alexis, who began dating months after she and John broke up.
Shannon also posted a photo of the wire transfer document on her main page as the 18th season of RHOC came to an end following its three-part reunion.
“That’s a wrap Season 18… #rhoc,” she proclaimed with the pic.
In the comment section of her post, Shannon was met with supportive messages from her fans and followers.
“Proud of how you handled yourself this season! You are a queen!” one person wrote.
“I’m happy this chapter is closed Shannon .. you handled it with grace [and] dignity,” shared another. “Don’t give [Tamra Judge] any chances she showed us exactly who she is ..and I hope the J’s just eff off some place we never have to see again.”
“It is finished,” proclaimed a third.
Following the news of Shannon and John’s settlement, Shannon’s attorney released a statement, explaining why his client decided to put an end to the case before heading to a jury trial.
“Shannon made an incredibly smart emotional and financial decision in deciding to settle this case,” attorney Dave Beitchman told Page Six on Tuesday, shading John over his “shameful” lawsuit, which he filed in an effort to recoup a $75,000 loan he gave Shannon for a facelift (she has insisted it was a gift).
“I have no doubt in my mind that Shannon would prevail in this matter, but the cost of defending the case would easily be more than the amount that was sought,” he continued. “While she was certainly prepared to fight for the truth, I congratulate her in taking the high road and putting this matter behind her.”
No word yet on who is returning for The Real Housewives of Orange County season 19 or when production on the new episodes will begin.
