Everyone’s favorite Independent Women have reunited — just temporarily, don’t lose your breath.

A Destiny’s Child reunion was in store Thursday evening as Beyoncé (along with mother Tina Knowles) and Kelly Rowland visited Michelle Williams, who is currently performing on Broadway in a new musical adaptation of Death Becomes Her.

Beyoncé celebrated the occasion in a series of posts shared on Instagram Saturday: In the first, a spliced montage video set to her track “II Most Wanted” featuring Miley Cyrus, images of Times Square give way to shots of Rowland, Knowles and Beyoncé posing with their Playbills. There are also videos of the former girl group celebrating Williams off-stage following her performance, including photos of her in the spotlight as she debuted the character of Viola Van Horn, the mysterious woman who entices frenemies Helen Sharp (Jennifer Simard) and Madeline Ashton (Megan Hilty) with the pathway to eternal beauty and youth.

“My Belle,” she captioned the second post, which featured Williams posing in costume. (See below.)

Death Becomes Her opened on Broadway Nov. 21, with Deadline’s review calling it “a virtually perfect big-budget, broad-appeal musical comedy that improves in every way over the 1992 film.” The show, taking place at Lunt-Fontanne Theatre, features a book by Marco Pennette, music from Julia Mattison and Noel Carey and a director-choreographer in Christopher Gattelli. The cast is rounded out by Christopher Sieber, Taurean Everett and Josh Lamon. Death Becomes Her is currently running through August 2025.

Destiny’s Child began as a quartet in 1997, featuring founding members Rowland and Beyoncé, as well as LeToya Luckett and LaTavia Roberson. The latter two were eventually replaced in 2000 by Williams and Farrah Franklin, though she exited the group a few months after joining. Occasional reunions have taken place since the popular trio’s disbandment in 2006, including in 2013 for Beyoncé’s halftime performance at the Super Bowl and Beychella in 2018. The group is most known for commercial and critical hits “Lose My Breath,” “Soldier,” “Survivor,” “Bootylicious,” “Say My Name” and many others.
