Lizzo may be making all her haters eat their words….again.
The “About Damn Time” singer has been documenting her fitness journey for her fans for the better part of 2024 and it seems that all her hard work is paying off. Her latest Instagram posts feature a new svelte figure and a considerable amount of weight loss.
She has also shut down any rumors of Ozempic, Lizzo has made it clear that she only has her commitment to her fitness goals to thank for her new waist size.
“When you finally get Ozempic allegations after 5 months of weight training and calorie deficit,” she said in a post.
Lizzo has never been one to shy away from showing off her body but she’s been a lot more transparent about her time in the gym as well as her eating habits. In September, she took to her Instagram to talk to her fans about the comfort she often finds in food.
“I overate yesterday, and I’m feeling really bad about it,” she wrote in the post. “I’m trying to remind myself that my body needed that nourishment. And if my body deserves comfort, then my brain deserves comfort too.”
She has also spoken out about how exercise has helped with her mental health struggles as the industry and public have often been unkind to the Grammy winner who is currently still facing a lawsuit filed by her former backup dancers.
Still, the pop diva seems to be enjoying her downtime and new lifestyle. The singer is still in the midst of a “gap year” from making new music and performing but it hasn’t slowed down her bag. Her shapewear company, YITTY, is still doing numbers and has Grammy-nominated singer Chlöe on board as an official celebrity ambassador.
No word on when we’ll next hear Lizzo on a track but we’re enjoying seeing her glow up!
