Glen Powell has offered a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to one very lucky fan.

Powell, 36, revealed during a video posted via social media ahead of Austin, Texas’ “Glen Powell lookalike contest” on Sunday, November 24, that the winner of the competition would be invited to place any chosen family member in the actor’s next movie.

The video, which appeared via X just prior to hundreds of people gathering at Auditorium Shores in Town Lake Park, including Powell’s mother and aunt, per the Austin American-Statesman, was filmed by Powell who did not attend the festivities due to filming commitments.

Powell kicked the video off with a witty reference to comparisons drawn between himself and fellow actor Justin Hartley.

Glen Powell is showing Us how it’s done as his filmography continues to grow with success after success. Top Gun: Maverick. Anyone But You. Hit Man. And now, Twisters. “I promise I’m gonna disappear really soon,” Glen Powell jokes during an exclusive interview with Us Weekly about his recent string of mass-appeal projects. (Please, no!) […]

“Welcome to the Justin Hartley lookalike contest,” Powell joked before goofing around some more. “In all seriousness I’ve assembled you here today at Auditorium Shores for an important mission. I want to pull off a heist. We don’t need masks because we all have the same face, it’s the perfect crime. They can’t get all of us because we are one. A criminal Glen-terprise.”

Powell added that he was shooting overseas but wished he could have attended the event, which awarded the person with the most striking Glen Powell resemblance a cowboy hat, free Torchy’s queso for one year and a cash prize.

The Twisters actor then went on to reveal his own gift to the event’s winner. “Look, I know there is some cash and a hat at stake here, but I just want to say that the winner of today’s contest gets a personal prize from me,” Powell said in the video. “Now you may know that my parents make a cameo in every movie I make but today, the winner of the Glen Powell lookalike contest wins their parents, or any family member of their choice, a cameo in my next movie. I am completely serious.”

Powell then hilariously likened his generous prize to the equivalent of “a cash-value prize of six billion dollars,” before urging participants to enjoy his “favorite city in the world.”

“Keep Austin weird, hook ‘em horns and see you round. Every time I look in the mirror,” he joked before signing off.

The outlet also reported on Sunday that Max Braunstein was the contest’s winner and took part in a post-ceremony video chat with Powell. Photos captured by the outlet revealed that contestants arrived in cowboy hat-clad costumes that nodded to Powell’s character in Twisters, Tyler Owens.

The significant turnout comes after Powell recently reflected on his path to fame, which he believes was much easier than it can prove to be these days. “The business no longer supports struggling actors the way it did when I was kind of coming up,” Powell said during an interview with Vanity Fair for its Hollywood 2025 Issue, published on Wednesday, November 13. “I would do an episode of NCIS, and that would keep me afloat for a year. You know what I mean?”

Powell is set to star on the TV show Chad Powers in 2025, and also appear in The Running Man alongside Josh Brolin, William H. Macy and Katy O’Brian.
