Conor McGregor has broken his silence following the conclusion of a high-profile sexual assault case. The former UFC champion shared his thoughts on social media, addressing the outcome of the case that has drawn widespread attention. His response has sparked significant public reaction.

Here’s what Conor McGregor said after sexual assault case loss.

What did Conor McGregor say after sexual assault case loss?

Conor McGregor has publicly addressed the outcome of the sexual assault civil case in Dublin that found him liable for raping Nikita Hand in 2018. A jury announced its verdict on Friday, ordering McGregor to pay approximately $250,000 in damages after a 12-day trial. On Monday, the UFC star broke his silence and released a statement on X (formerly Twitter). McGregor reiterated his innocence and vowed to appeal the decision.

McGregor wrote, “People want to hear from me, I needed time. I know I made mistakes. Six years ago, I should have never responded to [Hand’s] outreaches. I should have shut the party down. I should never have stepped out on the woman I love the most in the world. That’s all on me.”

Conor McGregor continued to deny the allegations, stating that the encounter with Hand was consensual and supported by witness testimony during the trial. However, he acknowledged regret over cheating on his fiancée, Dee Devlin, with whom he shares four children.

Hand testified that McGregor had “brutally raped” her in a hotel penthouse on December 9, 2018. She alleged that he choked her, threatened her life, and left her with bruises. McGregor firmly denied these accusations and said that no coercion was involved. (via AP News)

As a consequence of the verdict, McGregor has faced professional fallout. This includes being removed from the popular Hitman video game series, where his character could be downloaded as an add-on. While his character can no longer be purchased, players who already downloaded it can still access it.

In spite of the legal setback, McGregor stated his intention to move forward. “I can’t go back and I will move forward. I am beyond grateful to my family, friends and supporters all over the world who have stayed by my side. That’s it. No more. Getting back to the gym- the fight game awaits!” he concluded.
