Amid cheating rumors, Teddi Mellencamp said she’s “apologized” and “taken accountability” for what she’s “done wrong,” hinting at “3 sides” to every story. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum also reportedly changed her custody stance after filing for divorce from Edwin Arroyave, the father of her three kids.
Since news of the divorce broke, reports have surfaced indicating that both spouses cheated. According to reports, Teddi had an affair with a married horse trainer who had a pregnant wife. Other reports claim Edwin was the first one to have an affair years ago with a friend of Teddi’s.
“I have cried and mourned. I have taken accountability and apologized for things I have done wrong,” wrote Teddi over an Instagram video of her working out on a treadmill. “Now I have given myself permission to grow and thrive.”
“I have decided to not pander to the media and tell my side because in the big scheme of things. Click bait means nothing and of course 3 sides to every story. How I can stand up and show up for the people that do matter does,” she added. “This is called being an adult. This is what saying it with my full chest means.”
She also told her followers that the “only person” who can change “your life is you.”
“We have 2 options, pretend to be a victim or stand up and fight for yourself,” she said. “We all deserve peace and happiness.”
In the comments, fans shared their thoughts.
“I know no one owes anyone anything, but I would love to see you address rumors head on during [your podcast]. Tell your side and take accountability head on,” said one user. “Life is complicated and messy, but I want to hear it all from you.”

Meanwhile, according to court docs from Us Weekly, Teddi switched her custody stance, and she is now seeking joint legal and physical custody. When Teddi first filed, she reportedly asked for sole legal and physical custody of the kids with Edwin getting “reasonable and frequent” visitation.
She also maintained that October 20 was the date of their separation, despite Edwin’s claim that they separated on November 1.
