The roots of “Told You So” can be traced to TikTok, where Jex posted a video of her singing the song’s vocal hook. That clip caught the attention of Garrix, who “immediately” reached out to produce the track, according to a press release.
“From writing this hook alone in my apartment, to Martin finding it and bringing it to life, this entire thing has been a dream come true,” Jex said. “‘Told You So’ is so authentic and special, and I am stoked for it to finally be out in the world.”
