RHOSLC's Mary Cosby Suggests Meredith Marks Friendship Isn't Worth "Fighting For" as Meredith Claims She Was "Used," Plus Mary Calls Out Angie Over Comment About Meredith's Hearing Aids

Mary Cosby opened up about the end of her friendship with Meredith Marks after last week’s episode of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City saw them at odds.

As Mary, 52, also called out Angie Katsanevas, 50, for her “naughty” comment about Meredith’s hearing aids, she and Meredith, 52, voiced their sides of their feud, with Mary suggesting that her friendship with Meredith simply isn’t worth fighting for.

“Mary, we got the memo. You think your time is more important than mine because you’re upset that [Britani Bateman] is late to you, but you, the next day, come an hour late to me,” Meredith began on the November 27 episode of the RHOSLC: After Show.

Meanwhile, Mary said she was only late to Meredith’s house because she lived so far away.

“I live in Salt Lake City and Meredith was in Park City. It’s gonna take me an hour just to drive there, and it did,” she explained.

Looking back at her encounter with Mary during Mary’s breakfast event, Meredith said she later reached out to her co-star because she wanted to be the “bigger person,” even though it was Mary who “fully attacked” her and “screamed” at her as she kicked her out of her home.

While Meredith felt “used” by Mary, Mary said she was the one being used.

“I don’t use anybody. That’s not even who I am. It’s just all these things she’s saying that I am. She’s projecting. That’s the way she is,” Mary alleged. “When I left, she kept calling me. I eventually stopped answering the phone because it wasn’t deep enough for me. It wasn’t enough to fight for.”

Continuing on, Mary admitted to feeling that Meredith failed her on their trip to Zion during season two.

“I felt like I was always there for her, and then when I needed her to be there for me, she wasn’t,” Mary noted. “She left with the women and left me by myself and two producers drove me home. And I flew Meredith down private. You’re not a good friend to me. You’re just not.”

Although Mary has been harboring resentment from Zion, Meredith claimed the two of them had spoken of the issue on a number of occasions.

“We talked about it again a month before her lunch, and the night before her lunch, we had a call where she was talking about meeting me and Brooks in Europe and how she threw this luncheon because she knows how much I love Breakfast at Tiffany’s, and this, that, and the other. So none of that adds up,” Meredith stated.

Meredith went on to note that during their time in Zion, her father’s death was “ridiculed” and “disgraced.” And because she wanted to stop the speculation, she chose to ride in the sprinter van rather than going home with Mary.

“If you can’t understand that in your heart and have compassion for that, it’s not my problem anymore. I feel used,” Meredith explained. “She just showed me who she is. Thank you for letting me know. It’s a different relationship than it was. She didn’t respect it so you get what you ask for.”

During another segment of the RHOSLC: After Show, Angie, at the prompting of Mary, admitted that it was wrong of her to mention Meredith’s hearing aids.

“You have to admit, Angie, that wasn’t okay,” Mary stated.

Then, after Angie suggested her comment wasn’t all that bad, Mary insisted it was.

“Turn the table … you opened up to the group and you said, ‘You know what, I can’t hear you guys. I have to put some little tubes in my ear so I can hear what you guys are saying,’ and then time goes on, you’re like, ‘Whitney, you need to borrow Angie’s hearing aids.’ How would you feel?” Mary asked, citing the diss as a “little naughty.”

“You’re right,” Angie agreed. “It was a bad choice of words. I shouldn’t have brought Meredith into it.”

Angie proceeded to say that she appreciated being held accountable by Mary because it came across as wrong.

Still, she added, “If Meredith really knew me … she’d know I wasn’t intentionally trying to be mean.”

The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City season five airs Wednesdays at 9/8c on Bravo.
