Garcelle Beauvais is opening up on why she didn’t reach out to her castmate Dorit Kemsley following Dorit’s separation announcement from PK Kemsley. In an interview with Deadline, she explained that reaching out to Dorit during her separation would have felt disingenuous. “We weren’t in a good place after we finished the reunion, so it would have felt very hypocritical,” she admitted. While Garcelle felt empathy for Dorit, she didn’t want to come across as insincere, especially since the two hadn’t yet mended their issues from the previous season.
Garcelle went on to acknowledge that she and Dorit had experienced “a few little bumps” throughout Season 14. However, she’s hopeful that with time, the two will rebuild their friendship. “We got to a better place,” she revealed, implying that there’s still room for reconciliation. Fans will likely see the evolution of their relationship as the season unfolds, with Garcelle expressing optimism for a future where they can move past the tension and truly become friends.
But the road to healing isn’t always smooth. Garcelle made it clear that, while she may not have reached out immediately, she’s always open to resolving issues down the line. “I don’t know what’s being said, whether online or offline, so hopefully one day we can resolve it and be friends.”

Garcelle noted that she and Kyle have become closer, texting and checking in on each other regularly. “We got to a better place, which is what I wanted this season,” Garcelle shared.
