Are women overplaying their role with men without getting anything in return?
That’s what Apryl Jones seems to think. The former Love and Hip Hop reality TV star engaged in a rant on Live whilst sitting next to her friend and actress Dorcas Tejada.

“What is happening with the men in the world,” she asks in the beginning of the clip. “They want to be catered to. They give you bare minimum. They don’t want to spend money. The bill will come to the table and the men don’t grab the bill. Women are grabbing the bill first. The women are grabbing the bill first and we are paying for the bill.”
Jones, who has always been outspoken about men and their expectations in relationships in comparison to what they actually contribute, pressed on. She said, “What is happening with the men? I’m sorry. I think that I’m just am like really actually old school in the sense that – look I do believe as women we are working these days there’s not a lot of at-home mothers. But at the same time my G come with it or go home.”
“What are we doing? What value are you adding into the life of a woman who is supposed to be catering to the home. Like you want the woman to cater to the house and make sure that she builds a home for you and to make it comfortable and to cook and I believe in that but like at what point, if men aren’t even flying you or courting you. Bruh you want me to cook?”
Some people agreed with Jones. Many commented under the Neighborhood Talk’s repost of the clip and one person said, “No seriously times have really changed the men today aren’t the men they used to be!”
Another person commented on the matter, saying, “Men think they are the prize now. It’s like we have to win them over and prove to them that we are worthy of them, lol.”
“But we have to work because men these days can’t handle the pressure of handling it all,” wrote a third person.
Jones is mostly known for being the ex-girlfriend of former B2K member Omarion. The two share their 10-year-old son Megaa and their daughter A’mei who is now 8. Following her split with Omarion, Jones got into a relationship with Omarion’s former B2K group member Lil Fizz which she endured a lot of backlash for. The romance between the two started in 2019 before it fizzled out the very next year.

In late 2021, Jones and The Best Man actor Taye Diggs were seen getting close to one another and by 2022 they made their relationship Instagram official. Taking their romance to social media, the two seemingly had a playful relationship, often dancing and singing with one another. The couple got many nods of approval from fans who followed them, but they ultimately went their separate ways in 2023.
Since the breakup, Diggs has revealed that he is still single, but Jones, on-the-other-hand, has moved on. She confirmed that she was no longer single when a fan asked her on Live but she kept the her answer short and sweet making it clear that she wasn’t giving up any details.
