Ann Maddox Reveals Why Her Hours Were Cut at Ariana’s Shop

Tom Sandoval’s ex-assistant Ann Maddox apologized for publicly sharing that her hours were cut at Ariana Madix and Katie Maloney’s sandwich shop, and she shared why it happened. The Vanderpump Rules star also shaded Tom for seemingly posting an ad for “his own look alike contest.”

In the latest season, Tom fired Ann after she interviewed to potentially work for his ex Ariana, who he cheated on. Ariana later hired Ann to work at her sandwich shop, Something About Her.

But in August, Ann shared on her Instagram Stories that her hours were cut and she needed money to pay rent. She then asked fans to vote for her podcast, We Signed an NDA, so she could get ‘host read ads.’

In a recent interview for The Vault with Monica & Amir, Ann addressed why her hours changed.

“Between servers, your shifts change, your schedule changes constantly,” she said, via @vanderpodrecaps on Instagram. “There’s more people when it’s busy, there’s less people when it’s not as busy.”

Ann revealed she was “vent[ing]” at the time.

“I don’t think that it was anyone’s fault. The manager’s just doing the management, of course she’s gonna want everyone to work,” explained Ann, who said only a “hundred people” were looking at her IG Stories at the time.

“I guess I didn’t realize that people would have such an effect to something that I would say so carelessly,” she said. “So I do think it was my responsibility and I should have known better. And I work for someone who had like a public persona.”

“I shouldn’t go on my Instagram Stories to vent about, like, things like hours being cut. That’s just a part of the job,” she said. “So the hours in store where I got to meet all the fans and stuff … it was my favorite part of the jobs.”

“And so when I couldn’t do that aspect anymore, that extra perk, I think I was just getting high and feeling my feelings and being a silly little millennial. I apologize for causing such a stir,” she said. “I felt so bad … I felt real dumb.”

Meanwhile, Ann also shared a photo of an ad for a “Tom Sandoval Look Alike Contest,” which will be held at Tom’s own bar, Schwartz & Sandy’s. The ad promised a “special prize” for the “winner.”

“Did my old boss post in Los Feliz an ad for his own look alike contest?” wrote Ann over the photo, via @queensofbravoplus on Instagram.
