Craig Conover Talks Missing Engagement Timeline With Paige DeSorbo, Her Reaction to Sexting Buddy Molly O’Connell Joining Southern Charm, and Kyle Cooke Shading Business, Plus Shep Rose's Deflections, Lying Montage, Madison’s Comment on His Sex Life and His Worst Memory

Craig Conover appeared on Thursday’s Watch What Happens Live, where he addressed his many engagement timelines for a proposal to Paige DeSorbo and shared her reaction to his former sexting buddy, Molly O’Connell, joining the cast.

As he also reacted to Kyle Cooke‘s shady comments about his business acumen, reflected on Jarrett “JT” Thomas‘ shade against Patricia Altschul, 83, and accused Shep Rose, 44, of deflecting, the Southern Charm star, 35, insisted he is no liar, despite the show’s recent montage, and revealed if he has regrets about his time on the reality series.

“I am happy representing the couple that we are now, just like dating a strong, independent, career-driven woman,” Craig began of his status with Paige, 32, on the December 12 episode of WWHL. “I think a lot of those timelines, they definitely were forced by me, and I didn’t know any better. I said that before. But also, society. This is what I’ll admit now: I have no idea what’s going on at any point in time.”

“We live for the week instead of obsessing about the future,” he explained.

According to Craig, he had no marriage or proposal announcement to make about Paige. Instead, he applauded her for the recent completion of her and Hannah Berner‘s Giggly Squad Tour.

“They just finished a 56 [city] tour — sell-out tour,” he shared.

As for Paige’s reaction to Molly joining the show, Craig said his girlfriend “handled it about as well as you could.”

“I was a little panicked when I found out that she was joining our cast, but I was open and honest and Paige made fun of me. She said, ’Aw, your little sexting buddy is gonna be joining you…’ Classic answer,” he explained.

Moving on to Kyle, 42, and his inability to say anything nice about his work ethic on a previous episode of WWHL, Craig took note of his “tone” before sharing his thoughts about Kyle as a businessman.

“I think if he brought on partners, his business would grow faster than if it’s just him doing it. I have two partners and 20 employees. The business is bigger that way than if it was just me in my dining room still,” Craig reasoned, teasing that fans will see more of their feud in the upcoming ninth season of Summer House.

“It just always hurts my feelings,” he continued. “I’m really proud of what we’ve built, especially with Sewing Down South. We’ve worked really hard, and so my two partners, Amanda and Jerry, and Kyle and I talked about this, this summer, so it was weird that it was still kind of living in his head, especially when [Andy Cohen was] like, ‘Just say something nice about what Craig has done.’”

Regarding Thursday’s episode of Southern Charm, Craig suggested there was more to the drama between JT, 39, and Patricia than what was shown as he confirmed if JT really called the series’ matriarch a “b*tch.”

“It’s funny cuz we filmed the entire conversation. I don’t know why it didn’t [air],” he admitted. “It’s very fitting for me. He didn’t say she was a b*tch. He said she was kind of a b*tch about the cane incident.”

Continuing on about JT, who quit the show last month, Craig admitted he often found himself confused by his castmate’s behavior.

“I spend a lot of this season trying to figure him out, and I film with him a lot, and we have a lot of great conversations, but a lot of times he does the exact opposite of what we talk about in our private conversations,” he explained.

Craig then spoke of Shep, reacting to his co-star suggesting he had no right to talk about his drinking due to his past habits.

“He’s not wrong. I used to drink way too much and I affected our [friend group] but his was on a little bit of a bigger stage,” he reasoned. “I’ll take accountability for that. But guess what? I don’t do it anymore or I work on it. And Shep’s still trying to put one foot in front of the other, which is great, but yeah, I thought that was a little deflective.”

While Craig didn’t actually watch last night’s show, which featured a montage of him seemingly being caught in a number of lies, he insisted he “never lied on camera.”

“People say I’ve lied. Shep saying that I lied about the bar isn’t me lying about the bar. I will tell you that I’ve never lied on camera,” he explained.

During an episode of WWHL last week, Madison LeCroy, 34, said she believed that Craig was the most well-endowed of the group.

In response, Craig admitted it was “a nice thing to hear.”

Then, after admitting Whitney Sudler-Smith, 56, “shouldn’t” have suggested that Molly stop eating cupcakes, he answered a series of rapid-fire questions about his time on Southern Charm, revealing that his favorite memories were “boy dinners” at Patricia’s house and that his worst memory was his reunion “blackout.”

As for his biggest regret, Craig said, “I feel like everything happens for a reason. I’m glad that some of those dark moments were filmed so I can relate to people now as I try to not repeat those things. But I honestly thought everyone was going to think the sewing machine was cool when I got it, and when I walked in, I could not have been more wrong.”

Southern Charm season 10 airs Thursdays at 9/8c on Bravo.
