EXCLUSIVE: 365 Days Italian star Michele Morrone will be steaming up Lionsgate’s thriller The Housemaid from Paul Feig.
It’s a reteam for Morrone who is already starring in Feig’s A Simple Favor 2 sequel.
The Calabrian multi-hyphenate joins Sydney Sweeney, Amanda Seyfried and Brandon Sklenar for the Paul Feig directed movie which is being produced by Hidden Pictures/Feigco Entertainment.
In the Rebecca Sonnenshine adaptation of the Freida McFadden novel, Sweeney plays Millie, a struggling young woman who is relieved to get a fresh start as a housemaid to Nina (Seyfried) and Andrew (Sklenar), an upscale, wealthy couple. She soon learns that the family’s secrets are far more dangerous than her own.
Morrone plays Massimo Torricelli in the Netflix Italian movie 365 Days, a member of the Sicilian Mafia family. He kidnaps Laura, a sales director, and gives her 365 days to fall in love with him. The 2020 movie spawned two sequels, 365 Days: This Day and The Next 365 Days.
Also upcoming for Morrone is the James Franco and Bella Thorne movie Bunny-Man as well as Bobby Moresco’s Maserati: The Brothers in which he plays Alfieri Il Maserati opposite Anthony Hopkins, Andy Garcia and Jessica Alba.
Hidden Pictures’ Todd Lieberman will produce. Carly Kleinbart Elter will oversee the project for Hidden Pictures. Feigco’s Paul Feig and Laura Fischer are also producing. Sweeney and Seyfried are EPs alongside Alex Young and McFadden.
