In an interview with US Weekly, Cohen shared his thoughts on Dorit’s journey, noting that she’s at a significant crossroads in her life. “She’s at a fork in her life and she’s redefining her own life,” Cohen explained. “And I think that process isn’t a clean process. You’re seeing that as she’s living through it.” Fans have noticed the rawness of Dorit’s emotions this season, and Andy Cohen confirmed that this vulnerability is not staged—it’s very real.
Along with navigating her separation, viewers are also seeing Dorit in some new situations, such as being caught smoking a cigarette during a moment of reflection. It’s clear that Dorit is struggling, but at the same time, she’s showing a side of herself that we haven’t seen before.
Andy Cohen also pointed out the similarities between Dorit’s situation and that of her co-star Kyle Richards, who is documenting her own split from Mauricio Umansky. “Kyle’s at a similar place in her life. So I think you’re dealing with two people who are actually, I mean, I think it’s sad because they could support each other,” Cohen said. “You will see them, at times, this season being a great support for each other. They actually weirdly need each other more now than they probably have.”
Despite their shared experiences, the former best friends are still figuring out how to lean on each other. Cohen hinted that viewers will see moments of connection between the two women, though their journeys might be more complicated than simply offering each other support.
As for what’s to come in the rest of the season, Andy Cohen remained tight-lipped about any major spoilers, especially when asked about his No. 1 question for the group during the reunion. “I don’t want to spoil the season!” he teased, keeping fans on edge about what will unfold in future episodes.
