James Kennedy Was Investigated by Bravo, Could Lose $1.6 Mil

James Kennedy was reportedly investigated by Bravo in the fall of 2023 after a production insider came to them with a list of concerns about his behavior, including his alleged attacks on women he was dating.

Over a week after the 32-year-old Vanderpump Rules alum was arrested for potential domestic violence following a reported fight with his girlfriend, Ally Lewber, 28, a new report has suggested that a member of Evolution Media, the production company behind Pump Rules, went to the network about James’ behind-the-scenes actions, as well as the claims that have been made against him, both publicly and privately.

According to documents seen by Page Six on December 18, Bravo hired an independent attorney to conduct an investigation into the matter, although the outcome of that investigation is unclear.

Amid the network’s third-party investigation, the production source was reportedly “horrified” and “sickened” by James’ attendance at BravoCon, especially after he sang a song about being the “number one guy in the group” and was awarded for his “Colloquial Excellence.”

In other James Kennedy news, the Pump Rules alum, who will not be featured in the series’ upcoming 12th season following a recasting, “could lose $1.6 [million] in earnings” as a result of his recent arrest.

Speaking to The U.S. Sun on December 18, CMG Digital Media head Michael Schweiger, described as “an expert in the celebrity business relations field” and who previously booked James as a DJ, revealed that although he was seeing success with “a lot of dates set up” just weeks ago, he’s lost planned engagements in the days since being taken into custody.

“Last time I booked him, he was getting around $5,000, so I would think he was commanding anywhere from $5,000 to $7,500,” Michael shared, stating that James was making as much as $1,014,500 per year on top of his Pump Rules salary, which The New York Times estimated to be $630,000 for season 11.

James has also solidified partnerships with Monster Energy Drink and Sugar Factory. However, with only 1 million followers, Michael pointed out that he couldn’t be making much as he suspected James’ legal fees could reach $50,000.

“[It’s] not cheap if you get arrested,” he continued. “He’s not the first DJ to get a domestic violence charge but without the TV gig, his value is kinda shot.”

In addition to having his upcoming gig at Komodo Lounge in Dallas canceled, James was reportedly removed from his residency at the Fontainebleau in Las Vegas.
