Lil Baby reveals he was at Young Thug’s house just hours before the YSL Rico arrest that kept Thug behind bars for over two years.
When Young Thug was arrested at his Atlanta home in May of 2022 his rap career and the future of Atlanta rap were left hanging in the balance. While Thug was in jail he made one thing clear “Whatever wham says goes” referring to Lil Baby. At the time it was unclear what that meant but many assumed it was Thug confirming rumors Gunna ratted on him.
In a recent appearance on Lil Yachty’s “A Space Place” podcast, Lil Baby detailed how happy Young Thug’s release made him. Baby also shared he was with Thug at his Atlanta home hours before police raided the property.
“Definitely happy slime home, for sure. That was a big portion of it.” Lil Baby said accrediting Thug’s freedom for his recent happiness. “What people don’t know and I don’t even tell ppl I could’ve been with him. I was at his house the same day. Thank god I just happened to leave two hours earlier.”
Lil Baby goes on to reveal watching Thug go through his RICO case hurt him but made him change his whole life around. The Atlanta rapper shared wisdom for up-and-coming rappers about naming their record labels after their crews. He alleges names and labels can put rappers in the same situation that landed Young Thug behind bars.
Lil Baby was seemingly shocked to learn he could be held accountable for the actions of people close to him.
Later in the interview, Wham admits he has a smaller circle now and is focused on providing for his family. This is good because Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis is not playing around. Keep your nose clear and there won’t be anything to worry about.
