After the Colorado Buffaloes cornerback and wide receiver was awarded the Heisman Trophy last Saturday (December 14), Travis Hunter’s relationship with his fiancée Leanna Lenee went under a microscope.
Critics took to social media platforms calling out Lenee for not standing when he was awarded the huge accomplishment. Then they started dragging her for seemingly being a gold digger, and from there, social media detectives began digging into her background, finding videos of her claiming she wasn’t initially attracted to the football player and other questionable comments and reactions on her part.
However, Travis Hunter, who is preparing to enter the 2025 NFL draft, initially didn’t let the negative comments about him and his fiancée Leanna Lenee get to him. He continued to defend his woman against harsh criticism, including questions about her ethnicity.

Eventually, Hunter’s fiancée broke her silence and shared an 8-minute video online defending herself and her relationship with Travis Hunter. However, that didn’t stop eager critics from digging up more “dirt” and trash-talking Lenee, begging Hunter to wake up and leave her. Some of these critics, including rapper Bow Wow.
During a recent stream online, Travis Hunter put his foot down and continued to respond to the negative comments about him and his fiancée Leanna Lenee, begging critics to please leave him alone because it’s all been completely draining.
In one clip, he began, “They want me to be unhappy. They don’t want me to be in a relationship… The comments and the people, you know, the hating, the hate, the hatred that I’m getting, it’s draining. It’s draining for sure. But, ehh. I don’t even care no more, bro. There’s a lot of people…it’s just draining.”

Hunter continued, “Bro, I didn’t even want to spark up streaming today because I know there’s going to be a lot of people in here trolling. So, like, it’s draining. I’m definitely not going to be myself for a minute. There’s a lot of people just talking and hating. Every time I get on my phone, it’s something new that they’re lying about. Every time, it’s something new that somebody’s talking about and we are just a topic right now. It’s draining, bro. It is draining, bro. Everybody’s just always got something to say. Whenever I go on my phone, there’s no way I can go on my phone without seeing something.”
In a second viral clip from his stream, Hunter said, “Travis Hunter also addressed people advising him to break up with his fiancée Leanna Lenee. He said, “Why would I break up with my girl ‘cause the internet wants me to break up with my girl? Ain’t nobody know me or her personally. That’s what y’all don’t understand. Y’all are not in my personal life. So, y’all don’t understand. Y’all don’t know what we go through. And it’s draining because everybody’s always got something to say. Like, bro, just leave me alone, bro. Let me be me. I’ve been with my girl for 5 years and all of a sudden this year, y’all want to say something? Leave me alone.”
