In a candid conversation with Carlos King on the Going Rogue Pod, Alexis shared her thoughts on the situation, revealing both the shock and acceptance she felt upon learning the news.
Alexis Bellino began by explaining how she learned that she would not be returning to RHOC for the new season. She revealed that Alex Baskin, a key producer behind the show, was the one who delivered the news in a phone call. While Alexis admitted that the news wasn’t entirely shocking, the timing caught her off guard. “I wasn’t really prepared for it, and I thought we had more time,” she said. The unexpected nature of the call left her in a vulnerable state, even though she had an inkling the decision might be coming.
“I wasn’t shocked about the information because how do I fit in?” Alexis Bellino reflected. Despite still being close friends with RHOC newcomers Katie Ginella and Jennifer Pedranti, and working on rebuilding relationships with Tamra Judge and Heather Dubrow, Alexis was uncertain about how she could fit into the dynamic. “How do they bring someone back who is not a fan favorite versus the fan favorite?” she pondered, acknowledging the tough reality that not every cast member is embraced by the audience.
In the podcast, Alexis asked Carlos King what she could have done differently. Carlos King, a respected figure in the reality TV world, responded thoughtfully. He pointed out that Alexis came across “too hard in her defense of John,” referring to her often impassioned efforts to stand by her then-boyfriend, John. He suggested that, in hindsight, perhaps a softer approach could have helped her connect better with the audience.
