The “Anne Boleyn” star recently revealed her financial status and what she believed her estranged husband Joshua Jackson made monthly. Her claims showcased her need for support in maintaining her lifestyle and that of her daughter.
Jodie Turner-Smith welcomed a daughter named Juno with Joshua Jackson a year after they tied the knot in 2019. The actress filed for divorce in October 2023 and initially asked the court to terminate the former couple’s rights to spousal support.

According to Turner-Smith’s income and expense declaration, her estranged husband’s financial status outweighed hers. She claimed he earned $2,351,765 in 2022 and believed he made $195,000 monthly.
On the other hand, Turner-Smith’s average monthly income was around $87,500, but she earned over $245,000 last month. She claimed she had $4,945 in cash or bank accounts and $366,289 in stock/bonds or property she could quickly sell.
Although her financial situation looked good, the actress’s responsibilities were heavy for a single mother. Her monthly expenses included $40,000 in rent, $509 for childcare, $1,800 for groceries, $2,612 for clothes, and $3,291 for entertainment.
Additionally, she spent $2,000 on auto expenses and $6,000 to support family members, per In Touch.

Turner-Smith doubled down on Jackson being richer than her, noting he always made more money than she did during their marriage. However, he had not contributed to their daughter’s well-being since their separation and racked up her legal fees with his unwillingness to cooperate.
The TV personality claimed she had spent over $412,000 on legal fees for the divorce, which she paid with her personal funds because her estranged husband made their dissolution “far more difficult than necessary.
Turner-Smith explained that she tried to keep the situation amicable and relieve as much pressure as possible on their daughter in the interim.

“However, Josh has paid me $0 in guideline child and/or spousal support since our separation. He has also made $0 contribution to my attorneys and forensic accountant fees,” she lamented.

Jackson Allegedly Asked The Actress To Leave Their Marital Home
Turner-Smith’s allegations about Jackson continued with claims that he asked her to leave their marital home after their separation. She noted he pushed her to go without considering that she had contributed $800,000 to the property’s down payment.
“I have since had to establish my residence based on where I am able to find work, more specifically, in London, UK, for the last several months,” Turner-Smith shared. She explained that she had no choice but to take whatever job came her way to support herself and Juno.
“All I want is to be able to afford to purchase a home in Los Angeles and to support our daughter,” the TV personality added. The Blast reported that her request for spousal and child support came months after she initially refused the rights in her divorce filing.

Turner-Smith Wants Over $30K From Her Estranged Husband
According to Turner-Smith’s request for financial assistance, she wanted Jackson to pay over $30,000 monthly. The sum included $8,543 in child support and $28,641 in spousal support, at least while their divorce case was pending.
She claimed Jackson should have no issues paying the bills, noting he once vowed to cater to her needs. “[He] promised to always support me and ensured me that I would not have to worry about financial security for our daughter if we ever separated,” Turner-Smith alleged.
The British actress claimed Jackson made the vow “because he said he understood how difficult life can be as a Black woman and a single mother.” However, the actor’s stance has changed since their separation, with Turner-Smith stressing that he no longer wished to honor his promise.

Turner-Smith alleged that Jackson refused to honor his vow of financial support and pushed her to settle. However, she claimed his agreement was less than what she believed she deserved.
In addition to seeking spousal and child support, the entertainer asked the “Dr. Death” actor to cover her legal expenses. She implored the court to order him to pay $250,000 for her attorney fees and forensic accounting costs.
Turner-Smith and Jackson married in 2019, a year after meeting at the actor’s birthday party. In September 2022, they unfollowed each other on Instagram, sparking rift rumors.
Although they reconciled, the cracks in their union had already formed, with the actress filing for divorce in October 2023.
