Adam Sandler has shared the first teaser trailer for Happy GIomore 2! It came with the caption: “Happy Chanukah! Merry Christmas! Happy Holidays! And Happy Gilmore to all!!!!!!”
The teaser is only 30 seconds long, but it offers a first look at Sandler’s Happy Gilmore back in action on the golf course. It also featured Julie Bowen reprising her role as Virgina Venit, Christopher McDonald as Shooter McGavin, and some kind of appearance by NFL superstar Travis Kelce.
Kyle Newacheck (Murder Mystery) is directing the sequel from a script by Sandler and Tim Herlihy. There are no details about the plot of the movie yet.
When previously talking about the film, Sandler said: “It’s good. We worked hard on the script. We didn’t want to let anybody down. People have been asking me for a long time. We’re really excited about it. We wrote our asses off. So many of the golfers are being nice and will be a part of it.”
This sequel comes nearly three decades after the original was released, but it’s going to be awesome to see what these characters are up to all these years later.
