Apple TV Viewing Jumped 36% In December To New Record, Says Streamer

Although Beyoncé has rarely been known to give her haters the time of day, her mom has her back.

Following the 32x Grammy winner’s A Cowboy Carter Christmas halftime show at the Houston Texans-Baltimore Ravens game, Tina Knowles shared a fan’s post that stated “people will always, ALWAYS, always have some negative ish to say” about her daughter.

“Repost: My sentiments exactly!” she captioned the Instagram post. “It is mind-boggling to me that you would take your precious Christmas day and watch a performance of someone you hate and you don’t think has talent so that you can go talk ish about it later. Obviously you are so obsessed with them, addicted to them, and secretly admire them, wish you could be them, that you cannot help but to watch and critique and comment and say dumb ridiculous stuff that makes you look like a joke!! So go to another channel when it’s halftime watch goofy cartoons or Bozo the clown or something you can relate to and see yourself in. Said with love. PS I have learned so much from her warrior spirit, of when they go low I work harder ‘No weapon formed against me shall prosper’ one, two, three waiting for the fake bots to come.”

As Bey performed songs from her debut country album Cowboy Carter during the halftime performance, which was streamed live with the first ever NFL game on Netflix, the platform’s U.S. viewership peaked with more than 27 million viewers. The 13-minute performance is now streaming on Netflix as a stand-alone special entitled Beyoncé Bowl.

Beyoncé was joined on the field by Shaboozey and Post Malone, as well as her 12-year-old daughter Blue Ivy Carter. “I’m so honored to be in Texas right now. It’s only right that we do ‘Texas Hold ‘Em’ for the first time in Houston, Texas on Christmas,” she said.

Although Jay-Z didn’t join the family hoedown, Bey’s halftime performance comes after NFL commissioner Roger Goodell previously addressed the league’s partnership with Roc Nation amid the rape allegation against her husband.

“We are aware of the civil allegations and Jay-Z’s really strong response to that,” he said at a press conference this month. “We know obviously that litigation is happening now. But from our standpoint our relationship is not changing with them, including our preparations for the next Super Bowl.”

Jay-Z was accused of raping a 13-year-old girl in 2000 in a recent refiling of a civil lawsuit against Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs.
