Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have settled their divorce after eight years, and the actress has waived spousal and family support from her ex-husband.

According to TMZ, Angelina Jolie filed for divorce from Brad Pitt in September 2016, citing irreconcilable differences. The couple began dating in 2005, a year after they starred together in “Mr. & Mrs. Smith,” they went on to build a family with six children. Following the divorce filing, Jolie accused Pitt of physically abusing one of their children; however, Pitt denied these claims and was ultimately cleared of any wrongdoing in the investigation. Despite this, the allegations persisted throughout their divorce proceedings.
Even though the divorce is finalized, the former couple is engaged in another legal battle over their French winery, Château Miraval. Brad accused Angelina of selling her share to a company owned by a Russian oligarch without his consent, which he claims violates their agreement.

Pitt has scored a legal win in the case, but the legal battle regarding the property is ongoing. Their oldest daughter, Shiloh, also dropped her Pitt surname on her 18th birthday during the divorce battle. Zahara also made a similar decision regarding her surname, only going by “Zahara Marley Jolie.”
Fans also reacted to the divorce, showing their support for one side or both, but noted that they had no idea that the divorce took eight years.
