Denise Richards told Jeff Lewis on his radio show that she ruptured both implants while filming Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test season three.
As she also spoke out about her upcoming reality show with her daughters, Sami Sheen, 20, Lola Sheen, 19, and Eloise Richards, 13, and her husband, Aaron Phypers, 52, the 53-year-old Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum looked back on her time on Special Forces, admitting that the series was “dangerous.”
“I jumped off a bridge … and that’s when I ruptured my [breast] implants, off of that thing, the harness,” Denise revealed on SiriusXM’s Jeff Lewis Live on January 3, confirming she burst both.
“I still have to get them redone,” she continued. “I was supposed to a month ago but couldn’t because we were filming, so um, yeah, no, I still have to get them redone.”
Because Denise’s insurance didn’t cover the injury, she said she would be paying for the procedure herself.
“I have to pay … I think we pretty much signed our life away doing that show. It’s dangerous,” she admitted.
Then, when Jeff, 54, suggested the show should pay since she was injured during production, Denise noted that she hadn’t asked them to reimburse her.
During another interview, Denise opened up about Denise Richards and the Wild Things, which is set to air later this year on the E! Channel.
“It’s a big glimpse into our family,” Denise told Us Weekly last month. “We’re finishing up everything. I’m excited, but I’m also like, ‘Oh my gosh, everyone’s gonna see my family.’”
As RHOBH fans may recall, Denise, who shares her two oldest children with ex-husband Charlie Sheen, 59, previously starred on E!’s Denise Richards: It’s Complicated from 2008 to 2009, prior to her adoption of Eloise in 2011.
“I’m not perfect and they will see I make mistakes. Our family is not perfect by any means, but hopefully they can relate to some things that our family goes through too,” Denise explained of her new show.
According to Denise, Eloise was the “easiest one to film.” And, when it came to Aaron, who she married in 2018, he didn’t mind the cameras either.
“He’s in the show more than I think he thought he was gonna be, but he likes it,” she shared.
Continuing on about her marriage, Denise said she and Aaron are “best friends.”
“I say this to other couples with children — I always say you have to have time for yourself. Don’t feel guilty. If this ain’t working, it starts at the top and sh*t rolls down. If [your marriage] stays strong, your family is intact. I always say, have a staycation with your husband or wife. Just keep your connection,” she advised.
Also during the interview, Denise confirmed that if her children weren’t on board with filming their new reality show, she wouldn’t have done it.
“There were conversations with my older daughters, because I wanted to make sure that that was something that they wanted to do, because they didn’t have to be part of it. It was a process, but they were on board,” she noted. “And I’m like, ‘Alright, Let’s do it. Buckle up and enjoy the ride.’”
Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test season three premieres Wednesday, January 8, on FOX.
