The 82nd Golden Globe Awards recently took place, celebrating the best talents of 2024, from directors to actors. The event was star-studded, featuring significant wins and some surprising snubs. One nomination that caught a lot of attention was for Wicked Part One, with fans eagerly anticipating how many awards it would win. So, did Wicked win any awards at the 2025 Golden Globes?

Did Wicked win any awards at the 82nd Golden Globes 2025?

Yes, Wicked won one award at the 82nd Golden Globes 2025.

The film received the award for Cinematic and Box Office Achievement. This category recognizes films that grossed at least $150 million globally, with a domestic collection of $100 million. For the unaware, this category was introduced at the Golden Globes in 2024, with Barbie becoming the first film to receive the award.

In this category, Wicked was pitted against numerous popular films, including, Alien: Romulus, Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, Deadpool & Wolverine, Gladiator II, Inside Out 2, Twisters, and The Wild Robot.

Wicked managed to impress critics and viewers with an IMDB rating of 7.8/10 and 88% on Rotten Tomatoes. Additionally, the film made it to the American Film Institute’s list of top 10 films of 2024.

Wicked secured a total of 4 nominations and won in one category. The other three categories included Best Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy, Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy for Cynthia Erivo, and Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role for Ariana Grande. However, for the first category, it ended up losing to Emilia Pérez. Further, Demi Moore won the best female actor in a musical or comedy flick for The Substance. For Best Female Actor in a Supporting Role, Zoe Saldaña bagged the award.
