The sudden breakup of Paige DeSorbo and Craig Conover has left many fans puzzled and heartbroken, especially since the two were one of Bravo’s favorite couples. Recently, Andy Cohen opened up about what might have contributed to the couple’s split, offering some insight on the Radio Andy show.
Andy Cohen, who has witnessed the couple’s rise to fame, shared his thoughts on the growing tension in their relationship. “We were very sad to get the news about Paige and Craig,” he admitted during the January 6 episode. The 56-year-old host also pointed out that both Paige DeSorbo and Conover are experiencing an incredible level of professional success, which might have created additional strain.
In his discussion, Andy Cohen highlighted the ambitious career trajectories of both stars. Craig Conover, 35, has been making waves in Charleston with his recently opened restaurant, along with his thriving business ventures, including a store in Nashville and a place in Charleston. Despite their professional accomplishments, Cohen believes that the pressure and distance stemming from these commitments might have caused tension in their relationship. He recalled a moment from the premiere party for Southern Charm, where DeSorbo wasn’t present, and speculated that her absence at various events could have contributed to the couple’s growing distance.
“She’s so busy,” Cohen reflected, “and I just think the more and more that starts to happen, you know, you worry that it causes a strain.” Although Cohen admits that the exact cause of their breakup is still unclear, he sees a pattern in their increasing individual commitments and schedules.
DeSorbo and Conover had been together for three years, and in late December 2024, DeSorbo shared the news of their breakup on her Giggly Squad podcast. “Craig and I have decided to no longer be together,” she said, making it clear that there were no hard feelings between them. “I love him, I think he loves me,” she continued, expressing mutual respect and care for each other.
Paige emphasized that the breakup wasn’t due to any dramatic event. “No one did anything,” she explained, noting that they were both mature enough to recognize what they wanted in life and, perhaps more importantly, what they didn’t want.
