Craig Conover has finally addressed his recent breakup with Paige DeSorbo, just one week after the couple announced their split. The “Southern Charm” star revealed that the breakup caught him by surprise, particularly because it came just before the holidays.
Conover shared that he had been processing the end of his three-year relationship with the Summer House star in an Instagram story, explaining, “This has all been very, very unexpected to say the least. But I guess life has to … I gotta start living again, whatever that looks like, whatever my new normal looks like, I have to start.”
The Southern Charm star expressed how deeply the separation impacted him, revealing the emotional toll of losing someone with whom he had shared so much of his life. “It’s OK,” he admitted, acknowledging that relationships are complex and require mutual effort. “It takes two people to be in a relationship, and you can’t control other people. You can only control how you react to it, so,” Conover said.
Despite the emotional upheaval, Craig Conover emphasized the importance of moving forward. He confessed he is still processing the breakup but expressed his gratitude for the outpouring of support from fans. “Your best friend that you talked to every day then they’re just gone,” he reflected on the sudden loss. “One day, I’ll be able to talk more on it, but right now, I just wanted to thank everyone for their kind messages. It’s been really nice to read them, and it’s just life!”
Conover also took a moment to remind himself and his followers of the power of faith during difficult times. “I have to take my own advice that I give when I go around and speak at these home shows… but I guess now […] I have to have faith in God that everything happens for a reason.”
