Donny Osmond on Nephew Jared’s RHOSLC Drama With Britani

Despite not being a full-time cast member, Britani Bateman has been one of the most talked about people on season five of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City.

This is due to her antics on the screen, her real-life love of music, and what’s to come with the rest of the season. Her relationship status with Jared Osmond has also been a significant talking point. Now, his uncle is reacting to his appearance on reality television.

Jared popped up on the show this season with Britani in the midst of their on-and-off relationship. The two made the relationship social media official right before Christmas and have made multiple posts together since. 

According to Bravo, the iconic Donny Osmond is now reacting to his nephew showing up on RHOSLC and being an overall focal point of the season. When E! News asked him about the show, Donny said, “I understand it’s a little bit risqué, but to each his own.” 

Donny continued, “I haven’t watched it, but good for him. There’s a lot of Osmonds. When there’s a family reunion, the whole state of Utah comes together. That’s how big it is.”

Donny’s comments came before Jared made things official with Britani. At the time, Britani and Jared were on and off again, and she was weighing her options with other people. Some of her castmates, especially Lisa Barlow, told Britani on the show that Jared wasn’t good for her. Her castmates felt that he saw her as more of a friend, and they thought she should focus more on her relationship with her kids and less on dating. 

Since officially getting back together, both Britani and Jared have faced a bit of backlash. Notably, many fans find their social media posts to be a bit cringy. Some feel Britani is showing off their relationship to convince RHOSLC producers that she should return for season six and that she should actually get a snowflake.
