Australia’s rave scene might just be heading to the deep fryer.
One event organizer is rallying support for what could be the sauciest night the Australian electronic music community has seen in years: a rave at KFC. Nick Lennon was inspired by last year’s Bunnings Warehouse rave—complete with DJs and sausage sizzles—which sold out in minutes and raised funds for Support Act, a music industry charity.
“In 2024 we had the Bunnings rave…so in 2025 we MUST have the KFC rave,” Lennon wrote in a petition he launched on Change.org.

Whether KFC management will embrace this finger-lickin’ dream remains to be seen, but if the internet has taught us anything, it’s that good ideas can snowball into reality. As the petition has begun to garner signatures, Lennon is promising exclusivity—tickets will only be available to the petition’s signatories who dare to dream big (and greasy).
The idea isn’t as outlandish as it sounds, considering fast food-fueled pop-ups have been an emerging as a favorite among the artist community. Berlin recently played host to a McDonald’s Boiler Room set by HUGEL as ravers danced under the golden arches and dined on freshly flipped Big Macs, and DJ Snake also threw down at a rave in a McDonald’s restaurant in France.
Should KFC join the pantheon of unconventional rave venues, it would cement a fast food frenzy that’s sweeping global nightlife. After all, where else can you hear drum & bass while dunking a drumstick?
