Curious why Marvel Rivals fans are buzzing about The Maker, aka Reed Richards, skin? This dark and exclusive costume is one of the game’s most anticipated additions, promising to bring a unique edge to Season 1.

From its sinister comic origins to the in-game cost, here’s everything you need to know about The Maker skin—and why players are eager to add it to their collection.

Who is Marvel Rivals’ The Maker in the comics?

The Maker is a twisted version of Reed Richards from Marvel’s Ultimate Universe (Earth-1610). His villainous turn stems from a mix of trauma, ambition, and unmatched intellect. Created by Jonathan Hickman, he first appeared in Ultimate Fallout #4. The Maker represents the darker side of Mr. Fantastic’s relentless pursuit of knowledge.

Unlike his Earth-616 counterpart, The Maker uses his intellect without moral restraint, seeking to reshape the multiverse into his “perfect” vision. His crimes include wiping out universes, lobotomizing Tony Stark, and trapping alternate versions of himself in time-loop torture chambers. His dark transformation makes him one of Marvel’s most unsettling villains.

How to get Mr. Fantastic’s The Maker skin in Marvel Rivals and what’s its cost?

The Maker skin for Mr. Fantastic will be available for purchase in the Marvel Rivals store starting January 10, 2025, at 9:00 UTC. Players can buy the skin individually for 1,400 units or as part of The Maker Bundle, which costs 1,800 units during a limited-time sale. Once the sale ends, the bundle price increases to 2,200 units.

The Maker Bundle includes several items:

The Maker Costume

Molecular Disruption MVP Animation

Distorted Genius Emote

The Maker Nameplate

Spray

This bundle offers better value compared to purchasing items separately. Like other exclusive cosmetics, The Maker Skin is expected to be a top seller during Season 1. With its connection to one of Marvel’s most unsettling villains, this skin is a standout addition for fans eager to explore the darker side of the Fantastic Four lore.
